The operating environment of CFB boilers is particularly harsh. Not only do high-speed particles continuously rub against and impact the equipment, but chemical reactions also occur, leading to corrosion. Meanwhile, heat exchange within the equipment happens very frequently. Therefore, the refractory lining materials used inside CFB boilers must meet stringent requirements: they need to have high mechanical strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and the ability to withstand rapid temperature fluctuations.

Refractory materials matched to various parts of the CFB boiler system

Boiler combustion chamber: The dense-phase zone, dilute-phase zone, and boiler roof plate are constructed using RSNM-B castable material; the fluidization section in the dense-phase zone is constructed using RSMNKS plastic castable material.

Cyclone separation system: The straight and conical sections of the cyclone barrel, gate valve, and return feeder shall be lined with RSNM-A castable or RSNM-75 bricks.

Economizer: Paired with RSZGN-42 firebrick, RSNM-75 brick, RSNM-A dense castable, RSQZ-0.7 lightweight castable, and RSQZ-0.3/0.6 lightweight thermal insulation material; the economizer beam uses RSNT-2 castable, and is also equipped with RSXWT-100 refractory fiber blanket.

Ignition air duct and cooling chamber: Use RSJZL-1 castable and RSNT-2 castable.

Tail flue: Compatible with RSNM-B castable, RSQZBW-650/1000 lightweight thermal insulation material, and RSZGN-42 fire-resistant bricks.

Application characteristics of unshaped refractory materials

Unshaped refractory materials are the core refractory components in CFB boilers, accounting for 70% to 80% of the total refractory material used in such boilers. The commonly used unshaped refractory materials for these boilers mainly include low-cement castables, ultra-low-cement castables, and cement-free castables.
